Wendy Franz

I have been an art lover for as long as I can remember, being fascinated by all types of art at a very young age. As a child I always had a pencil or paintbrush in my hand.
I went to college for graphic design and have worked in that field all of my career, but my true love is art. I enjoy using several different media including watercolour, acrylic and pen and ink.
While painting I take an ordinary subject and make it more vibrant and colourful. Through my art I like to add bright colors and textures, making the everyday world larger than life. I paint many different subjects from animals and flowers to the
human form.
I have lived in the Kootenays all of my life and moved to the beautiful Creston Valley in 1998. The natural wonders of our surrounding area give me the inspiration I need to create my art.
